I'm in a relationship, but there are a lot of people who aren't. Valentine's Day is just a day for sweethearts to acknowledge each other, not for single people to feel bad -- although it seems that way. Just remember that friends can be Valentines, too! Find a good friend and spend the day with them. Or treat yourself that day by doing something special just for you!

I think people make entirely too much out of this thing. I don't have a date and it isn't bothering me. I'm much more bothered by the idea that I'm alone right now in general, that I'm really sick and there's no one to entertain me or to tickle me, or to make me warm while all of this crappy weather is going on around me. I could care less about some commercial holiday where the price of flowers is jacked up beyond belief and there isn't an original idea in the head of any member of our species.
I had a husband once and we never celebrated v-day, because we were too busy celebrating our lives together. It just wouldn't have been the least bit special. I suggest people find their own way to recognize their relationships and not rely on the calendar to tell them when to do it.

Awww, a lot of people are dateless on v-day (including me, lol). If you don't want to feel lonely, though, ask someone to be your valentine, that's what I did :) No need to date, and no need for a relationship. It's just a one day thing, cute.

im date less for valentines again. im 24 yrs old and i havent had a date for valentines day since i was in high school

alot, including me...its all good though. i can think of one thing thats good about it. when i go to the vday dance at my school, i can dance with all the boys i want, not just one! so if you dont have a V, there is always a bright side to it.
