it is fairly common for cats not to produce milk for awhile(2-3 days). Is the Cat drinking/eating OK. However,it is best to inform your vet about it.

If possible, I would recommend taking them all in to the vet to make sure there is nothing medically wrong with any of them. The mother cat may have something wrong with her that prevents her from producing milk or, as in the case of mastitis, it may be painful for her to feed the kittens. While this is going on, you need to hand feed the kittens and make sure they stay warm. It doesn't take long at all for newborns to get ill if they get cold, and they need to be fed several times a day.

Yes, you will not be able to care for 7 newborns. Vets have a pill or injection to stimulate milk. First place a warm damp cloth on her tummy. After a few minutes, using your hands to simulate kittens nursing on her. Massage & repeat. Has her nipples filled up? Did she eat the after birth? A cat's first litter is like a womans first child. They don't come with manuals. Good luck

Get her to the vet ASAP for a checkup. The kittens can be supplemented later with KMR - Kitten milk re-placer if necessary. I have hand fed kittens before and they grow up to be devoted companions. I have two male orange tabbies who are brothers, were hand fed and are loved dearly, and are rather large from all the supplements. Seven is a large litter, she may need the help anyway.

I got my cat when she was 3 weeks old. Her mother rejected her. So i bottle fed her for a few weeks with unsweetened condenced milk. She is 10 now and couldn't be better!

The only thing that botherd me was the 3am feedings. Good Luck!

my fatherinlaws cat had kittens and the same thing happened..he had to take the mother in to the vets to get a shot to help her produce milk..that might be what you have to do. Call your vet.

Yes, all cats need their milk so just simply have another female cat in the house hold or one you can buy or adopt raise and nurse the babies or buy cat milk from the vets!

What should concern you is the reality of cat overpopulation. Why isn't it spayed?
