Is a bagel still a bagel if you toast it?

oh, no, it becomes a green bean....j/k
Bagel dough is quite different from regular bread dough, so a bagel is still a bagel even when its toasted.

It becomes what we call "a toasted bagel"
excellent with cream cheese & lox....
