I roasted a delicious bernard matthews turkey breast the other day and then fed it all to the cat. Trouble is the cat went really ill the day after and had a bad case of the runs. He's fine now though. But no more turkey for us.

Turkey is off the menu at my house since this latest scare at Bernard Mathews.
I do know if it is cooked right it will not get passed on, but for the time being I am not prepared to buy it.

Yes, although I didn't eat it that often anyway.
I think most consumers would be intelligent enough to appreciate that proper cooking of turkeys will kill the bird flu.
I refuse to join in the illogical hysteria whipped up by the gutter press.

No. I don't eat turkey anyway, it's nothing to do with recent health scares, more to do with the way they are 'farmed', and the size.

I never eat it. I once worked in East Anglia and serviced the standby generators at a turkey farm. Seeing the inhuman conditions they were kept in put me off for life.
Besides, they taste like damp cardboard.

Not a great meat eater myself, but now is the time to gobble down your turkey, because prices have fallen.. Mind you, who wants to eat factory farmed creatures of torture?

Why not babe ? You cant get the virus from cooked meat and I presume you are not going to eat it raw. My son was in fact still is the same about the mad cow disease we had and still wont eat beef. Me I couldnt care less if it is well cooked and reaches the proper temp. to me its ok.
