After working for a water utility I won't drink water from the tap without it being boiled. Keep up the 2 litres, it will give you clear skin, dumps your toxins and best of all will help to keep your weight down if combined with a bit of walking.

Drinking two liters of water a day is great for your health. However, carbonated water is not so good for your teeth. Carbonated water is made by dissolving carbon dioxide into water. This causes the water to become slightly acidic, and over time, the acidity wears away at the enamel on your teeth, causing them to be prone to chipping, and maybe even discolor them.

The 2 litres means water from every source, not a separate amount on top of your food.
You'll find normal eating gives you over half that anyway.
(Potatoes are 70% water, for example!)
Tap water is best.

you're meant to drink a minimum of a litre and a 1/2 of water an afternoon. that's to make sure your body is nicely hydrated, helping your concentration degrees. Water is important in cleansing( cleansing) your body and organs. It help eliminate excesses in the body i.e. stuff that your body has had its reduce for the day. inspite of if eating this volume will probably make you want a piss alot also.

in our area, very few drink tap water. nothing wrong with carbonated water. you can always take the top off, and leave it at room temp. for an hour to de-fizzle.

You should drink still water more so than mineral water, because if you drink too much of the carbonated stuff, which contains sodium & other minerals, it's not healthy for your body (too much of anything, even good stuff, is not good for you - you can die of too much of anything, even water). Sodium is actually the number one "food" that Dr's say "NO" to according to Prevention magazine.

Supposedly the carbonation doesn't allow your body to retain calcium in your bones. I haven't ever confirmed this, but feel free to ask a physician or nutritionist.
