I want to dye my hair purple if our bball team goes to state tournament. If koolaid wouldn't be good, any other ideas? My hair is a blondish browish color with a little bit of an orange tint. The dye would have to be temperary.

TEMPORARY means you shampoo and it's out. anything you get from the store is semi-permanent. that includes kool-aid.

kool-aid stains, too - so you might not even be able to get it out after a couple days! trust me, i did this when i was in 5th grade. ugly.

honestly, if you just want a temporary colour, i wouldn't do it at all. you won't get the effect you're going for with any product i can think of, because it's not going to shampoo out as easily as you'd want it to.

i would go to sallys and look for the spray-in aerosol colours. they're kinda like the ones you can get on halloween.

but DON'T get manic panic (or anything like it!). it looks awesome for like, 2 days, and then it fades SO ugly!

Well... I have brown hair and last summer (basically a year ago) I dip dyed my hair with kool aid. Yeah it's still not out... I went to a professional to get it permanently dyed but they said they couldn't dye over the kool aid. I suggest just not to do anything to your hair at all. Seriously it's a pain in the ***. Maybe you can put in hair extensions or something.

Depends on the hair color. but usually just a few washes it doesn't last long. the purple wont be that bold. You should try the colored hair gels. that way it comes out with the next wash

DO NOT USE KOOL-AID!!! That is really bad for your hair. You can get a temporary dye from Sally's that will wash out in about 10 days. Kool-Aid is meant to drink, not to dye your hair!!!!Good luck getting the color you want!!!!

kool-aid would be better because all you have to do is wash your hair ever day and it would be gone in about a week
