I probably sound really lame but I need help. I like this guy and I need to be sure if he likes me, he tries to talk to me, he looks at me sometimes, and if I meet his gaze he either smiles or looks away. He makes me laugh whenever I talk to him but he doesn't say anything when other guys compliment me. He is 2or3 years older than me but I'm mature for my age and he, well, isn't do you think he likes me?

Make sure he's not attached already first, bc guys tend to lie about things like that. And after you've done your homework, then just ask him, but obviously you don't know him very well, so just keep your eyes and ears open, it's easy to get caught up with someone and not realize it when there's a cloak over reality.

By what you are writing it seems he is interested in you. Are you in high school? Ask him to join you and your friends to watch some kind of sporting event or to sit with you at a pep rally or something. Bring him around your friends. Chances are he needs some help to talk to you and your friends will be his way to it. He's "accidentally" let one of your friend's know that he likes you so that he can know if you like him too.

He probably does but doesn't, it's a hard situation to explain. I would probably talk to him and just try to understand what he is thinking as himself. Good Luck!

He might be to shy to talk to you or give you a compliment. Wait a little longer for him to come to you then go to him.
