My son in law was tazed as part of his training yesterday. Today he has diarrhea and is throwing up.
Could this come from being tazed or is he getting sick?

I guess I'm just pulling at straws. He said yesterday after coming home that his toes still tingled....lol.
they have a 2 month old baby, we just don't know whether to keep him away from her or not. I tried to find another reason other than flu.

Evidently some posters don't realize that before an officer can carry a tazer, they have to go through the experience......i.e they are tazed. The same with pepper spray.

The company states there are no known side affects, However, when I went through the training we had to be shocked with it in the drive stun mode (no probes) and then shot with the probes.
When I was shot with the probes I immediately collapsed and was screaming like a little baby who lost his pacifier.
Well, the next day I could not even turn my head to the right. It was like someone had wacked me across the right side of the neck muscles and right pectoral muscles with a base ball bat.
The probes were shot into our backs so I know it was not from the puncture points where they entered.
I truly believe it was from the electricity locking all the major muscke groups so hard that it strained them.
I have never heard of anyone experiencing what you said though and I was 1 of 2 officers out of 250 that complaine dof side affects.
Good luck and Godspeed

Keep in mind, when a person gets tazed, and believe me its hurts like a SOB, your body is given a shock and sometimes there are minor reactions, give it some time and his body will be back to normal, but being tazed does not have any effect for the most part, except for the pain and falling to the ground.

Not really the after effects usually occur immediately after the Tazing. That being light-headed and in extreme cases loss of bowels. I would just say that being tazed just helped the sickness along. I hope this answered your question

The purpose of a tazer is just to stun or temporarily subdue someone. The worst effect it can cause is leaving a non-scaring red mark. The throwing up and diarrhea is most likely from something else.....You said he was at training, well if he at goverment food I am sure it was from that.

Yes there are definite side effects!!!! Usually with the mouth and vocal cords. I have found through personal experience that after being tazed, most people respond with "yes sir, no sir, what do you want me to do, sir?"

Coincidence. I've been tazed before and was just fine. It has no long-term medical effects.
