Two words: LASER POINTER.
You haven't lived until you've seen your cats chasing the dot of red light when you use a laser pointer. It is a riot and a half!

Get yourself one of those red lazer light pointers from an office supply shop. It is the best toy I have ever found for a cat. Just make sure you don't shine it in their eyes. Also, you can get a toy that moves and put it inside a paper shopping bag and seal the bag up. The cat will go crazy wondering what is moving in the bag.

my cat loves to play with those little disgusting looking albino cat toys from the pet store. They're only about .50 cents and are great for them to play with. I even got a big mouse with catnip in the middle and my cat loved it. Also, for a cheap toy, you can stuff an old sock with a little bit of catnip and tie a knot on the end of the sock. Also, my cat loves paper bags. Whenever I get back from shopping and I have a paper bag I give it to my cat. DON'T GIVE YOUR CAT A PLASTIC BAG!!! Good luck =)

every cat i've ever met love the kitty furniture. they can scratch on it and play on it and they really seem to like it. there are so many cat toys that you can buy. they have a toy where you put a treat inside of it and the cat hunts it down, it keeps them busy and probably would sort of simulate them being able to go outside. they also seem to love the wand with the toy hanging off. good luck!

When you pull that plastic ring off a fresh gallon of milk, throw that on the floor--they love those. Also pony-tail holders & crunchy balled up paper. Tie something on the end of a string, like a catnip toy, and they'll go crazy.
Mine is going stir crazy---she's already slaughtered a giant army of imaginary alien invaders (or that's what it LOOKED like she was doing.....)

Laser Tag!! Get one of those pens with the laser pointer on it, turn off the lights and make it "run" all over the place. Cats chase it trying to get it. It really wears them down.

cat toys are easy to make take some string and an old glove tie the strings to the fingers and add some hing to catch their eye like a little feather and let it rip

I always liked the "chase the light" game, where you use a small mirror to make a light on the floor.

when i had my cat, we had a game called "Got Your Tail." he'd sit on a chair or stool and i'd lie under it and grab his tail. he'd fly around to my side to swipe at me, but by then his tail was on the other side, and i'd be grabbing it again. endless fun! keep Band-Aids handy.
