No, it is not disgusting, it is a reasonable question. And the answer is, it depends on how close to beginning adolescence the boy is. Some are well into that process by the time they're 13 while others aren't until around 15. Most think about sex much earlier, but that's only because we're exposed to it so intensely these days. Walk past the magazine rack in your local grocery, or in your local drugstore, or your local bookstore. Look how many magazines display barely-clothed girls on the covers. Look how many of them specifically state that some of the articles within discuss sex. And then look at t.v. and see how many times a day a young, sexy-looking guy or girl are portrayed getting real, real close and personal with a member of he opposite sex. Look at how many bikini-clad women appear in ads in Parade magazine in your Sunday newspaper - hey, at 11, 12, 13, a guy hasn't a clue except that somehow this is supposed to be very adult and as a guy, he's somehow supposed to be almost uncontrollably interested. So yes, we do think about it at that age. We haven't a clue as to what to do about it, but we do think about it anyway...

I can only speak from my experience (and it's been a long time since I was 12 or 13), and my experience says yes. I probably began thinking about sex and having sexual fantasies by about the 6th grade, which would have made me 11 or 12. And with the ever increasing sexual images we see on our TVs, computers and magazines, I wouldn't be surprised if it's occurring at even earlier ages today. Keep porn away from your kids!

It is not disgusting, it is a part of life. Of course guys get wood and boners and think of sex at 12-13.

When their old enough to find that thing, Their to young to think about sex but their not to young to know that things wants something. I've seen little boys 4 and 5 years old try to take a girl in the garage to play Doctor. When they start wanting to play Doctor they know what that thing is for and they'll play more than doctor if they get that little girl in that garage.

Yes. That's right around puberty which means they probably think about it a lot. After that phase is over with they still think about it a lot, but not as frequently as when they are going through puberty.
