She is absolutely positive its a girl but we dont know for sure yet. Dont ask me how she knows it must be some maternal instinct. anyways she has basically put down every name that weve come across with. We want something pretty but not to popular. She wants it to be unique but nothing like gertrude or anything.

A friend of mine named her baby Vivian Rose. They call her Viv or Vivie for short.

Look online at the Social Security website and look at older names. They are in order by years and decades. Tells you if they are in the top 100. Interesting to see trends. I went through the lists and wrote down some names I like and then picked one from that list.

You can bring up names that are unisex names
If she likes one and she's wrong, she can be set
Unisex names:
Jamie, Ryan, Riley, Jordan, Skylar, Augustine, Alex, Justin and Charlie. I knew more, can't think of them
Girls names
Cassandra, Alexis, Hayley, Johannah, Catherine, Elizabeth, Elie, Erin, Breanne, Amanda and Sarah.
I hope this helps

I wanted to name our daughter Grace Louise but my husband didn't like the middle name so we named her Augusta Renee instead. There are several websites out there with baby names and they will tell you the orgin and meaning of the names as well. A few are:

Firstly, not to be critical or anything, but this is *her* baby, and she has the ultimate decision on what the name is. (If that sounded really rude, I'm blaming it on my pregnancy hormones. ;)) What about:
Lily / Lila
Lucy
Heather
Grace
Tess / Tessa
Deirdre (DEER-drah)
Joanna
Eve / Eva

Those names seemed to fit the description of "pretty but not too popular."

possibly it really is a contact to renounce giving her names. i go in to have this toddler in 2 days and that i nevertheless have kinfolk contributors and acquaintances giving me their recommendations. it would not count what call you or all and sundry comes up with, that's the toddler's dad and mom that get to make that determination. My advice to you and your relatives...decrease backpedal. and do not placed down any names she chooses to share.

It's her baby, maybe she wants to choose her own name. Also, maybe she has found out about the sex of her baby if she's further along in her pregnancy.

Alyssa (said Al-is-her)
or Constance is pretty unsual but it depends on the surname as you would need a name which goes well with it. what will the babies surname be?
