I'm making a very simple meal. It consists of only finger foods so that we can feed each other.
Spinach dip to start
Steak & Chicken Kabaobs with veggies
Potato Wedges
Chocolate covered strawberries for dessert.

Don't try to do anything new... if you are cooking burgers, pour some whiskey over them as they are finishing up .... there must be some things you are good at ... just dress them up a little .... put whipped cream and raspberries over some ice cream or choose coffee ice cream, put on some whipped cream and a little Kahlua coffee liqueur ... serve a very nice pot of coffee ..... make a nifty green salad with those little greens people are using these days.... she will be happy .....

dinner in addition to a gift is really nice.... just set the table nicely and put a little pot of flowers in the center .. ..they don't have to be roses, they could be colored daisies.... have some fresh candles .... you know, even if you had posted this four weeks ago, I still would recommend something simple with a bit of something special added ... cooking is not something you read out of a cookbook, you need to get the hang of it, like your golf swing.... it takes time and dinner must be from YOUR repertoire of dishes...

Peace & Love

That dinner should not take more than 2 hours to put together...but the shopping will make it maybe 4 ..so what will YOUR dishes be????? Cheers and good luck!!!

There is a legend about Fettuccine Alfredo and its links to love. I recommend making it the way it was first made by tossing pasta into a molten (melted) wheel of Parmesan or Romano cheese along with ample amounts of butter.

You probably will not be able to find a whole Wheel of Parm cheese so I recommend buying two nice size wedges...set your oven on 250 and let the cheese warm until it gets gooey and hot. Place the cheese in the bottom of a bowl and throw a pound to a pound and a half of egg fettuccine over top. A 1/2 a stick of butter on top of that and toss with a pair of tongs and be in total awe of the rich cheesey gooeyness. This with a bottle of very nice white wine or even champagne and you are good to go.

Roast chicken rubbed with garlic salt and pepper, rice with roasted vegetables, carrots, green beans rolled in olive oil(just a little) and baked 15 minutes(with garlic clove). Remove from oven and place back in oven 15 minutes before eating. Make a sauce with 3 tablespoon melted butter, lemon juice( a little lemon peel) and salt to taste. Pour sauce over vegetables just before putting them back in the oven. For dessert, keep it simple, baked apples filled with brown sugar and walnuts and serve with vanilla ice cream.

Depends what she likes. Do a nice Filet Mignon. Needs minimal seasoning. Salt and Pepper is good. Maybe some nice corn, zuccini grilled, and a nice biscuit. Good Luck!

I would make a pasta dish keeping the sauce simple. Fruit salad strawberries, melon, apple, grapes, mango etc and a bottle of white wine or bubbly !!!

Steak and shrimp, scallops, or lobster with steamed asparagus, baked potato, and chocolate cake for dessert. Don't forget the bubbly! (champagne or sparkling cider if you don't drink /not old enough)

OR her favorite meal cooked with love by your sweet hands sealed and delivered with a kiss

Romance is who you are with, not the food. (Lady & the Tramp sharing a plate of spaghetti...er...noodle.) :)

What does she like?
What can you cook?

Just add candle light, flowers and romantic music.

Although feeding each other from a fruit plate would be cute. (strawberries, grapes, melon pieces)

One of the best meals in my opinion. is lasagna. You can't beat Stoffers Lasagna - just add a little more cheese on the top. Do that and a salad - and french bread. That is a great meal. Another one is just to buy some steaks and grill them. or you can cook them in the oven. - that makes a great meal

It doesn't matter what you cook. It's the fact that you went to the time and trouble to cook for her. Good luck!
