That's a definite MAYBE.
BTW, can't visit your site as there's no link or URL.

The problem is that there are way too many people of that name in the US, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and elsewhere. To put it in perspective, there are over 200 Johann or John Hoffmanns in the 1880 US census, not including those who spell it Hofman, Hoffman, or Hofmann.

To find the right person, it helps to have at least a few of these facts:
approximate birth date and place;
names of parents, wife, or children;
approximate date and place of marriage;
approximate date and place of death and burial;
locations where he lived;

I'd start looking at the LDS Family Search site, which is free.
