Do you have any proof that they are indeed a thief (testimonials and so forth) Because depending on where you live, he could sue you for "defemation of character"
Anywho, make a video and post it on youtube, there you will get a lot of views... -luck

First, contact the police.
Give them a copy of all the information you have on the thief.
Let them take care of it. You could also hire a private investigator.
If you feel the need to do more, document what you here, see, find out about, etc. the thief and take any new information to the authorities. Don't confront them yourselves.

Your local police dept. most likely has officers who specialize in elder abuse and exploitation.
It's their job and they're good at it. Call and make your report, let them handle it. Don't get involved yourself, you can put yourself in harm's way really fast.
