Why does hot cheetos raise your mouth temperature?

I took my daughter's temperature before she ate hot cheetos and it was 98.6, and then she ate a cup full of hot cheetos without drinking water, I took her temperature soon after without waisting anytime and it was 99.4. Why is that?

This is just a fluke, the hot cheetos do not raise the oral cavity temperature. A few decimal degrees up and down can be at any time interval.
