Well for obvious reasons each person may still have sensitive feelings on the relationship ending,so you should never mention the issues surrounding it unless the bring it upm first but be understanding and sensitive. However talk about hobbies,Interests you both share ,types of vacations you like etc. I know this could seem boring but it does give you some ideas to start with.
