Girls: Whats a guy gotta do?

I know that maybe this sounds a little pathetic asking for help online but truthfully my friends are no help. I haven't had a girlfriend since the summer and there have been a few girls that I have liked that havb turned me down. Now I've come to the absolute girl of my dreams and I don't want to screw it up. How am I supposed to get a girl? I'm no the most popular guy in school but I'm pretty well know. I'm captain of my football team and track squad. i was also on the wrestling team and I'm a shew in for the all around best student athlete in the school. I really like this girl so please tell me what to do. I love this girl! PLEASE HELP ME!

Dont let your big "ohh im a football player most popular guy in school' ego get in your way. Girls HATE that. That doesnt mean anything to a girl.

It doesnt amtter about if you are cute, a jock and eveyrone knows you

I think maybe love is a little strong at this point. It sounds like you would be some catch to have. Are you a shy guy? if so, build some confidence, put yourself out there. Don't let yourself fade into the background. Don't try to be this super suave bad a s s either. many women find that to be a huge turn off. Are you a funny guy? Humor can go a long way you know. More of the sarcastic, cold, or dry humor rather than the "BIG" humor. Are you a super sweet nice guy? the saying that nice guys finish last isn't a complete lie, there is some truth to it. Nice guys finish last in the beggining. Many women (not all) need to go through their string of jerks before they learn to truly appreciate the nice guy. There's a fine line between good boy and bad boy that has to be found. We tend to like a mixture of the both. Not to good, but not too bad either. If you dote on a girl to much, sometimes it gets old. if you dont appreciate her enough, we end up leaving.
Most importantly though we like a man with confidence and good self esteem. A man that portrays these qualities without being a cocky little jerk.

More than anything be yourself. know your strengths and play them. And if it doesnt work out well... think of it as way to condition you for future heartache. little cynical I know, but when you love, you hurt.

Have you ever tried just casually dating? it's alot of fun, but doesnt come with everything girlfriend brings (both good or bad)
Or how bout this... Ever tried to just stop looking for a girlfriend? She may seem perfect b/c you looking for someone to be yours. And when you quit searching for something, the thing you were looking for comes out of nowhere to blindside you.

O and if you do get the girl, remember this. The little things often go much further than the big ones. things like opening the door, a call when your out of town, holding hands in public, the small kisses on the forehead when least expected. It's the little things that keep the good women by your side.

oh gosh it sounds like you have true feelings for her if your on here asking for help. how well do you know her? ask her to be your valentine or something. or when you two are walking alone to a class or anywhere, just tell her how you feel about her and that you really want her to be with you.

i know exactly how you feel. i ran into a boy after not seeing him for years and we started talking again. i was so excited and at the same time scared to mess it up, so i wasn't being myself really. then he stopped calling me and returning my calls. so basically, don't do what i did. i know you don't want to mess things up b/c you really like her, but be yourself, seriously. if she doesn't like you then it wasn't meant to be. ask her what she likes to do and take her out somewhere and tell her how you feel. girls like that and when guys do something special for them :)
