All that happens is that it tans the skin that may be lightened due to stretch marks, so they are less noticeable... and spots get hidden amongst the tan on the rest of the body so they are also less noticeable. I used tanning beds for years (before all the cancer proof/research) and loved them... I am now paying the price, have had 2 cancerous spots removed and my body is loaded down with freckles and moles that were not there when I was younger. I am definitely paying the price for thinking that I would never get cancer by using the beds, not me! No one who owns tanning salons will ever tell you about the real research out there on the subject. If you absolutely must go, make sure you don't burn, that is the absolute worst thing and best way to end up with cancer down the road.

Sunbeds definitely help with spots - they dry out the skin, and the UV light helps to kill bacteria.
However, it's undeniable that continued use will damage your skin, and may cause skin cancer. You're at varying risk depending on your skin type, and number of moles on your body.
As for stretch marks, there are a number of products available which will claim to remove them, but none can be consistently proven to work. As others have said, tanning will probably just emphasise them more.

They may help spots as sunbeds dry out the skin, cant see how they help stretchmarks. But for the damage the sunbed does, your better off buying facial products for spots and an oil free moisturiser

There's very little that will help stretchmarks - also, they don't tan so will stand out more on tanned skin. Sometimes spots and acne can be improved with sunlight or even sunbeds but you must weigh up that small benefit with the much larger risk of skin damage, ageing and possible skin cancer.

Hi i the uv rays are good for spots, i dont know about strech marks thought as i think mine look worse after i tan. But its sort of like scarring and scars dont tan. I think the only way to loose stretch marks is to lose weight and rub in cocoa butter, which is good for after tanning anyways.

False, it tans the skin to hide the lines but the lines also tan at the same rate...
however, treat these marks as the badges of motherhood, they express your fertility and they are not to be ashamed of.
