How long and on what temperature should you bake chicken before it gets dry????

Depends on the size A general rule I do 350 degrees for 45 min-1hour This would be different if you are using a whole chicken though and mine does not dry out cause I normally cook it in something like a cream soup.

I cook a chicken in the oven at 350 for about 15 minutes per lb and I make sure there is plenty of water in the pan so the chicken doesn't get dry this will give it juice to absorb and to work with. You can also baste it like you would a turkey. It usually takes an hour for a chicken to cook and it shouldn't get dry as long as there is juice in the pan.

Depends on the size of the chicken. A nice plump bird should go in around 350 for an hour. You can test the leg joint -- just stab it with a sharp knife, any red (or pink) come out, cook it longer. THEN -- when it is done -- let it rest for at least 15 minutes so the meat can retain it's juices.

i cook it at 310 for 30ty minutes.
