I guess your guy feels comfortable enough with you now that it doesn't bother him or maybe it's his way of telling you that it shouldn't bother you either.
A lot of women have sex during their time of the month.
Just think... if you had to wait 5-6 days for sex because your guy is unwilling to sleep with you for whatever reason... would you be acting strange ?? Honestly...

Maybe he just really wants to be with you sexually and you have become close enough where he really doesn't care about your period. A lot of people have sex during that time of the month.

LOL you didn't mention why your boyfriend found it important to him to have intercourse while your menstruating. Otherwise I suspect like one of the other responders said he wants to ride the red bull. Some men know that is the safest time to make love without having to worry about seeding any lingering eggs perhaps?
