I read a lot of "god will do this", "god feels this way", and "god hates/ loves this" on religion and spirituality, and I have to wonder... What makes a person believe they have the authority to speak for god?

The bible is God's message to us, yet we have no right to say who is going to heaven or hell.

as a "born again" Christian,
I do not claim to speak for God.....
but I am qualified to tell you what God says
about many matters.
if I do not know or I am unclear about what God says about a certain question asked here, I do not answer the question, a practice I would advocate for many here who have no idea what they are talking about and insist on putting lies forth as if they were truth.

They are not speaking for God they are saying what God speaks of in the Bible .I do agree with you on a couple of them speaking way out of line .

i've got self assurance God can at situations talk with the aid of us or use the worldwide around us to we could say knock some experience into us because it have been yet we would desire to constantly decide for ourselves and not in basic terms blindly persist with.

Perhaps God has said to them " You have been a good and faithful servant and I have given you my understanding, now go out and speak to those who would hear about what I've shown you."

I only feel that loving remarks are what god appreciates but know not for sure what he thinks

We only go by what the Bible says; we don't make this up ourselves. At least, we're not SUPPOSED to.
