It is not for us to question the Bible and choose what to believe and what not to. You either believe all of it or none of it. The Bible does not contradict itself. The Bible is the inspired Word of God written by men through the Holy Spirit of God. Leadership in God's church is the role that God chose for man, for the same reason it is the role of man to support the family structure. We as humans in God's Family have a structure that must be kept. God is a God of love but He is also a God of order. There is an order for everything in life created by God. This is one of them.

We find in the Bible a general set order in nature that man is put in charge of nations, faithful organizations, as well as the family. The woman has a strong role in support but is not supposed to lead unless there is no other way it can be done. (like when men dont step up and do their job)

That verse in Timothy I believe is merely saying that a woman should not be an elder of the church (which whom did the teaching) and therefore authority cast over all men in the church. With regard to being quiet, thats a great idea! SHUTUP!!! No jk. There is a theme in the Bible about women being modest in general or in spirit. Peter says "Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight." Timothy is most likely either reflecting this sentiment and encouraging modesty or perhaps they had a local problem with women usurping authority and being big mouths (i know thats a stretch : p) and therefore is simply a command for ONLY that church and NOT literally that all women for all time should shut their traps in church.

No. At that time there were strict laws governing roles of women and church leaders admonished followers of Christ to obey all laws, which is understandable and even today Christians should obey the law. However, times have changed and women are allowed to vote, drive cars, etc., so why not take on leadership roles in the church?

I agree that a woman can teach from experience because my pastor (woman) do better than some of the Elders.

1 Timothy 2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

Paul is not saying that women should never teach, for he later said they should teach the younger women (Titus 2:4) and commended Lois and Eunice for teaching Timothy (2 Timothy 1:5; 3:14,15). He knew Priscilla, and, evidently, approved of her part in teaching Apollos (Acts 18:2,26).

1 Corinthians 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.

This command is quite controversial today. Nevertheless, as Paul insists (1 Corinthians 14:37), it is a command of God and can only be disobeyed in peril of divine judgment. In context, however, Paul is specifically prohibiting women only from speaking in tongues "in the churches." This gift, for reasons related to the divinely ordained roles for men and women, had been restricted to men, at least in church meetings. However, women were permitted to pray (1 Corinthians 11:5) or even to prophesy in church, as long as the other rules were observed. With respect to women as teachers.

Who ever told you this? women can and do. Have you ever heard of Helen G. White? She was a prophet of god you should look her up. God used her and gave her visions of things to come. In some of her books you read about eartquakes that she wrote about and did indeed happen! She was a real instrument of God. You should read about her childhood it was very rough.
Hope this helped.
Look for the book My Life Today. witten by Helen G. White.

I don't agree. Inherent misogyny is one of the main reasons why I'm not a christian.
