The key is not shaving AGAINST hair growth, but rather WITH hair growth. So, you should be shaving down, not up. I realize that shaving up gives you a closer shave, but that is also what causes the nasty bumps to begin with. I would also have to agree with the person above who recommended a warm bath prior to shaving to soften the hair. They do make some really nice razors that are about 1/2 the size of regular razors that are easier to maneuver in the bikini area. I think Noxema is the brand that I've seen. It is a 3-pack. You should have much success with these tips!

To prevent them use nair on the bikini line for about 5-8 minutes. If you already have them from shaving, use a little deodorant or vitamin E capsules. Good luck.

The best thing I have found is to take a warm bath and then the hair is softed and it doesn't pull the skin as much which is what causes the bumps.

Try using a really gentle exfoliator before you shave, and use shave gel made for sensitive skin- I like Aveeno. For when you already have them, use a hydrocortisone cream like Cortaid.

Don't shave, use wax instead. If you do shave, shave with the hair, and not against it. Good luck.
