I had a 2005 Grand Prix and traded it in for a 2006 300 c, the small dealership we bought it from told us that he would like to be paid for the new car within 5 business days, we did, but he never paid our old car off which he bought from us for 11,800.00 now we are late on a payment for the old car which we no longer have and it's making our credit look bad. This trade in and new car purchase took place almost 20 days ago, what's the deal? Oh and he still hasn't sent us the title so we can register it here in the state we live in, and our bank that we got our loan through is wondering wear the title is. what do you think is going on?

call the dealer, let them know you will contact the CA DMV inspectors office.... I guarantee he will not want them to hear about this. You do have rights, just check out the dmv site

In England the saying would be "you been done up like a kipper son" You should never where ever possible leave it for the dealer to settle an existing finance agreement. I work for a car dealership and have known several times over the last few years where a agreement has not been settled on time and the customer has been charged late charges as well as affecting the customers credit profile. You need to go back in person and wait in his showroom until you get some results. Nice car though!
