Yes of course! Also try hydrogen peroxide. It's 80 cents attge drugstore and doesn't hurt. Dip a q tip in it a dab both sides. Also fill up the cap a d soakthe metal parts of the earrings to prevent infection

Yes, and sometimes i add a little table salt to help get some abrasive action on those hard to get to areas.
