Evolution is a science so an evolutionist is someone who studies evolution. I acknowledge evolution and know it to be true but I don't study it so I'm not an evolutionist. Creation however is a myth that can't be studied so the term creationist still applies to anyone gullible enough to believe a scientifically inaccurate bronze age myth is the unquestionable truth. Say no to jesus.

Ignorance, and yes because they want to put it on a par with their 'beliefs'.

1) I say YES to Jesus.

2) You should study creation a little more. You'll find that none of it contradicts science....God created science.

3) Evolution does contradict some things that science says.

4) We say evolutionist b/c saying "someone who acknowledges evolution" is too long. So we group you in w/ the people that study evolution. And you're all evolutionists. Get it? (Btw, this is an irrelevant statement. I just didn't know what else to put. lol)

Say yes to Jesus. He's the Savior.

Who cares? I'm a Christian, and NOT a creationist. Creationists believe this earth to be about 6000 years old. Thats pretty stupid, since we have fossils that are five times that old. The Bible does not say that the earth is 6000 years old - it does say that this earth is eons and eons old, and even that there was an entire earth age before this one.
It doesn't really surprize me that so many people are athiests, when they are told stuff that borders on complete stupidity; however, that said, you are no better with your avitar and trying to turn people away from God. If you don't believe, cool - but don't try to **** other people up, when they are trying to have a relationship with God. Its not like its going to affect you in any way. You are what they call a bad influence, by todays nicer folks.
I call you a ******* jerkoff, myself.

An evolutionist is also someone who BELIEVES in evolution, because evolution is not a science, but a religion. It takes a great amount of faith to believe that the dog and the cat had a common ancestor, and there is absolutely no scientific evidence to support it. Evolution is nothing but a metaphysical research program.

I don't know: "isms" can apply to science/philosophy positions as well as studies. Which side of the Einstein/Schrodinger debate were you on? Were you an Indeterminist?

Are you a Big Bang theorist or a Steady State Theorist?

Its a convenient shorthand, I don't think it does any harm.

You've got the wrong definition for evolutionist - we use it meaning those who have "faith" in the science of evolution as being the total story of how the world began.

To try to belittle it as a belief by pretending it isn't science.

You "know" evolution to be true?
That make you either a liar or an idiot. Neither is good.
