Grey Goose is the best Vodka by far, it comes in a few flavors, but not many...if you want a lot of flavor selections go with Smirnoff, its cheap and they have about 10 different flavors to choose from. As far as Rum I would have to say Bacardi, but Malibu Rum comes in cool tropical flavors. I work at a bar and everyone always wants Bacardi and coke...I dont drink rum, so I really dont know!
Hope this helps!

I think that unflavored is the best because it will mix with more things. However, if you are stuck on flavors, go with something normal, like citron flavored vodka and coconut rum. Avoid things like raspberry or banana, they are too limiting. Honestly, the quality is much more important than the flavor. Try Ketal One vodka and Captain Morgan's silver rum. High quality and versatile.

For rum, I would get Captain Morgan if you are a rum & coke kind of person. As for vodka, I used to work at Skyy and that's the worst...go with Grey Goose or Kettle One.

I love Stolichnaya vodka...it's drier than some of the pricier top shelf brands. If you are drinking it straight or in martinis this brand is good, as are other top shelfs---ketel one, grey goose. If you are mixing, Smirnoff is nicely priced and is decent vodka. I like the unflavored, but there are some good recipes using the flavored vodkas. Raspberry mixed with Iced Tea is delicious!

Sorry-not a rum drinker. Have fun and drink responsibly!

Effin, Belvedere, Chopin, Grey Goose, etc... For vodka! Only rum I can think of off the top of my head is Captain Morgan or Bacardi! Which I guarantee there are better tasting, higher quality rums out there!

Try Sailor Jerry's spiced rum it's better than Capt' Morgans Taste tests say that Smirnoff vodka is just as good as Grey Goose.

I don't know much about rum but the best Vodka in my opinion is Rain Vodka. It is distilled i think 7 times maybe more but that's what makes it smooth. Plus it comes in a pretty bottle.
