Because it's interesting to learn about perspectives that are different from your own. And avoiding the laundry is always a good motive, too.

Not believing in God is also a form of belief. Your sharing may even help some to really know if they should believe without a clear understanding of what they stand for or just because many around them believe so they also must. The idea of one person may not be voted upon by all but it does not truly mean it is wrong. One need to experience something for himself to prove the truthfulness of what is in the MIND but the HEART oftentimes tells someone about the truth that cannot be seen by the naked eye.

I am an Atheist and enjoy answering questions about Atheism. A lot of people are curious as to what we believe in if there is no God, how we get through life without religion...I am more than willing to explain why I feel the way I do to someone who is curious. Then there are the occasional ignorant, rude people who ask a question, and I get a kick out of reading the answers.

This site is not just for religion,, you could involve yourself in other interests you care to indulge in,
You don't believe in God you say ,,maybe so ,,
but could it be that you are looking to find God ,,
because i got this feeling that you are not 100% atheist ,,
you still have the fear of God some where hidden in some black corner of your heart ,,i am fighting the same battle,,

Because you want to believe. You are a little afraid of not believing. Oh you will tell yourself you are not afraid. You don't believe but in the recesses of your mind there will always be a tell tail nagging. Go to a Church of your choice. Listen to the service with an open mind not with a preconceived doubt. Enjoy the fellowship with parishioners of your own age. Give it one more chance.

Maybe it's because you are looking for an answer as to why you think God doesn't exist. It could be a sign that you were mistaken in your decision to not believe in God.

I'm the same way. It's really addictive, isn't it? I think I read up on the religious forums to keep myself open-minded. I like to read about controversial subjects and every now and then toss my own opinions in there. Every now and then my opinions change based on other people's answers. I'm learning a lot and starting to define my beliefs.
