For me, the Roman Catholic Church is the right religion. You would need to explore it fully to see if it's the right religion for you, as well.

Figure out what you believe. Write your beliefs down on paper. Examine yourself. Why do you believe these things? When you are certain about your beliefs, then begin seeking a religion that is in tune with those principles. Do some research. Visit the religious services of many different traditions.

The question should not be what's right for Us, but what's right for YOU. You are the one looking. I was raised Catholic. About 5 years ago, I realized that believing in a floating spirit that created all thing, a virgin birth and a hundred other silly notions religions expect you to believe, contradicts logic. One day I looked at the figure of "Jesus" hanging on a cross, on the wall above my bed...How awful is that!?. I had a cross with the depiction of a dying/dead man hanging over my bed!? It's gruesome. I've seen too much in this world to believe in the nonsense written by men. I have a friend who was raised as I was(Catholic) we are both in our 50's. She has turned to many different religions in her adult life. She finds the most peace in how the American Indian's worship. I hope you find the religion you are looking for.

I am catholic, have been all my life, i am now raising my children to be catholic. Finding a religion though isn't about what other people are, its more about how you feel. I recommend this book World Religions: The Great Faiths Explored & Explained. This way you can read about many diffrent religons, see pictures, understand a little more about each one, and make the choice for yourself. The book can be found at amazon.com and u can get it used for 10.00

I really like the Buddhist teachings but there are some good things to be learned from the bible also. But there are also some parts that should be thrown out. It says "an eye for an eye" in one part but in another it say "turn the other cheek". I think that you should look at you self and Decide what religion is right for you. Maybe there isn't one that is right for you???

When I was growing up my parents were Catholic and i went to a catholic school and all. But as I grew up I had my own opinions and have gone to several Church's i now believe that i most believe that Episcopalian is the way I want to go cause it has the same beliefs just a little relaxed from the catholic religion. I recommend to go to different services and find the one right for you.

Still haven't found what I am looking for as organized religions of today leave many things to be desired. I do not want to feel as though I am participating in a cult- and sadly many of today's religions are cult- like. I know the Born Again's will give me thumbs down, and I do not care.

I wish you all the best on your journey.

I STRONGLY advise you read anything by Joseph Campbell. He was a leading figure in comparative mythology, and basically what he did was he took all the religions and origin stories (mythologies) of the world, and found the universal connections and meanings between all of them. He also explained each major religion's point of view and the function behind each of their belief systems.

It is very enlightening and educational material and it really opened my eyes to what the whole purpose of religion is, and how the different religions present their views of the universe in different ways. Go check it out!

This question is so important buddy.

I personally can say that none. Why? Lemme explain my point of view...

I was raised in Venezuela as a Catholic and I liked and disliked things of it. I came to the US and worked for 5 years with Jewish and I liked and disliked stuff of it. Years later I met a Cristian girl [my current girlfriend] and I saw stuff that I liked and disliked again...

At the end, I decided that all roads lead to GOD, and that every single religion has something to learn from. We all know there's somebody powerful, somebody that's there for us. GOD is whom I believe. I always say that my religion is a mixture of several religions. Think about it... A fanatic of a religion will tell you to join them [see FAN's definition on a dictionary, and you'll understand. A FAN is not exactly whom whatches footbal every sunday....], that their GOD is blah, blah... a true friend will tell you that you should see what's good for you out there. NO religion is perfect. They all have something that makes them NOT perfect, of which I wouldn't like to talk right now.

GOD is the ultimate belief, and all roads [religions] lead to him. If you ask me, I do believe in Jesus, Buddah, and specially and most important [after GOD of course] myself...

Take care...

I align myself mostly with Christianity, but there are elements of other religions that I find very enlightening. I say study many religions and then find the ideas and Truths that really fit with what you really deep down inside believe to be right. If we could get past all the conflict, many religions have the same basic concepts!
