A bad psychiatrist? In what way? Did they do something to harm you? Did they give you medication that hurt you?
Or did the doctor just not say what you wanted him to say? Or agree with you? That happens a lot. I hear people complain and switch therapists over and over again because they aren't getting the answers THEY want....instead they are getting the truth.
Before you rush out to do this complaint, take the time to think about this. If you've really been hurt by this doctor, then by all means report him to the American Medical Association.

A bad psychiatrist to me is one who illegally obtains your medical files and then misuses them. This happen to me. I was referred to a psychiatrist and the first thing I'm going to ask him is how he got hold of my dead psychiatrist records since my GP was not the referring physician. My previous psychiatrist files were sent to my employer even by an insurance company, so I don't like having old reports from dead doctors being read without my consent.

Good place to start would be the state medical board. Usually they grant the licenses and have control of the medical profession.

Your local city or county medical association for starters. If no response, try the state medical association or the state medical licensing board.

If you do not want to report through "formal" agencies and just want to get your feelings and experience out for others to see, you could try a site like www.ratemds.com.
