I think you can speak fluently in a year. But to write properly really needs some more hard work. The time it takes will be very different for individuals. If you're really into it, I think another year you can do it well.

Well its depends upon what language you wish to study, i will speak Russian,Romanian and English all fluently thats handiest when you consider that my mother is Russian and pop is Romanian however we are living in America, however for those who wish to study it fluently i might advocate to get a few type of courses after which possibly take a look at spending a fews moths or possibly a 12 months within the nation so it is going to upgrade it

It's always harder for an adult to learn a new language and it also depends on your age. However, people highly motivated can learn it really quickly. It will also help you to know some native speakers of the language you are learning to practice. Reading can also improve your grammar and of course vocabulary!
Good luck!

35 weeks to be able to speak moderately well - if you have a gift for languages.

A lifetime to learn the most used characters - unless you're artistic!
