Here's one of my favorite recipe.

4 (14 oz.) T-Bone steaks
2 oz. each assorted mushrooms*
2 oz. butter
1 tbsp. parsley, chopped
4 oz. heavy cream
4 oz. oil
4 oz. brandy
Salt and pepper to taste
Worcestershire sauce as needed
Dijon mustard as needed

*NOTE: Use any different mushrooms that are in season such as: Chantrelles, Shiitake, Champinons, Oyster, Enochi, Italian Peces, and Morelles. Have about 6 ounces of mushrooms for each steak. Season each steak with salt, pepper, and brush them with Dijon mustard. Either in a skillet or on a broiler cook steaks to your liking. In another pan add the butter and saute the mushrooms. Add parsley, brandy, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook approximately 3 minutes until mushrooms are tender. Add cream and reduce for 3 more minutes over high heat. Serve sauce on side or pour over steaks. Best if served with baked or broasted potato. Serves: 4. (Prep and Cooking Time: 45 minutes)

What about using smaller steaks and using different spices on each? One sweet, one sour, one spicy, etc. That would take more thought than just the same old "steak night" and he would be in steak heaven.

Oh yes, and invite me over!!

A lot of excellent answers here. I can tell because it's making me very hungry.

To get excellent grilling results we use the cookout calculator at charcoalbob.com. It's good for getting instructions for how to grill steaks of various cuts and size to the desired doneness.

I use a marinade of half worcestershire sauce and half Italian salad dressing. Let the steak set for a couple of hours then turn it and let set before grilling. It's soooo tender and wonderful flavor! I serve it with baked potato and green salad, broccoli or asparagus and French bread.

keep it light for valentines night not heavy or he'll be too full & want to fall asleep & snore!

grill steak to his liking, (rare, med-rare, medium, well done)
slice in to strips. Put a heap of mixed salad leaves on a plate drizzle with your favourite dressing (we like balsamic dressing or honey & mustard) add chopped cucumber, and cherry toms.
lay the strips of steak on top & you have a light but tasty meal. That way you've room for pud and a roll in the sack later!!! ;)

or go the whole hog so he'll love you more & make a brandy & mushroom sauce (Sauce Diane) to go with steak!
fry steak in a little oil in frying pan, when cooked to his liking, remove & keep warm on plate.
add sliced mushrooms to pan and fry for 30secs to 1 min. Add a sloosh of brandy (about 25-50mls)
Be careful! alcohol may ignite! let it sizzle for 30secs, add 100mls of double cream and warm through gently, add a little seasoning.
pour on top of steak, add buttered new potatoes and broccoli.

Enjoy! (have a wonderful evening! ;) )

Absolutely from a man, grilled to perfection over an open fire. Served with his favorite side of potatoes prepared most any way. Top with saute'd onions and/or mushrooms if he likes them. An icy cold beer served in a chilled schooner is a nice touch. Oh.... served by you in lingerie would be the desert de'le creme. :O)
