This early on in the game, usually 4-6 weeks;I wouldn't start panicking until 8 weeks went by. Look in the back of your booklet, I swear when I did mine last night there was a number you could call to find out how far along you were in the process/when you could expect your refund.

This time of year it can take 3-5 weeks to get it back. You can keep check on it by calling the IRS 800-829-1040. You need your ss#, your filing status and the dollar amount of your refund. Next yr, go with e filing. Its much faster.

Back in the old days it could take 12 weeks or longer, but since every year more and more people are filing electronically, paper is going faster. I would say about half that time,4-6 weeks. In about 2 weeks, go to www.irs.gov, individual, and where's my refund?, they should have something posted by then.
good luck & bless

If you file a paper return, it typically takes 4 weeks for the refund if you request direct deposit. If you request a paper check, plan on an additional week to 2 weeks.
