Ok last month i got stopped for speeding but he only gave me a driving citation. I was goin 51 in a 35. The speedometers don't work in the car. I don't have my license yet. I have my permit and was driving by myself. I didn't have an ID on me at the time. The citatation didn't have a price on it. I have to go to court 4-9. I love in North Carolina. I'll be getting my license the 26th of this month. What could happen when I go to court? Or, will the charges get dropped if I get my license before the court date? I got 2 charges on me.

Your license will and should be revoked.

Speeding is a "strict liability" offense: that means it doesn't matter WHY you did it. No intent is required. Having no spedometer is no defense; in fact, it only shows that you were rather careless in getting behind the wheel.
Ordinarily, you could get some relief on the speed (such as a reduction to a lesser speed or 'prayer for judgment continued - PJC), show a valid license, and no problem. BUT, you are a provisional licensee. You might lose your license for the speeding charge. You're best bet is to pay an attorney, because if you screw it up, you'll lose your license for a year.
If you choose to represent yourself, bring your license and ask what alternatives are available: driving school, heavy fine for a reduction, etc. See if the judge will grant a PJC on the speed, which does not count as a final conviction.

When you turn 15, you take the drivers education class and are able to get a learner's permit. Then at 16 you are allowed to get a license to drive on your own. But for the first 6 months, you cannot drive after 9pm.
