Because they think there's no proof, but that's (partial) true

I've looked on both sides of the issue. I'm a Christian, but I think that science is great too (I'm a geek, I admit), and I hate people that just believe stuff blindly. Even if I agree with your point-of-view, it pisses me off when you can't articulate it or defend it. It's just ignernt.
Before I summarize why I believe in Creationism, I just want to say that I have never found a "smoking gun" that definitively proves either viewpoint, no matter what the proponents of that viewpoint say.
To me, starting with the assumption that God exists, which as a Christian is a given, gives Creationism a big boost. The Bible states that God created the world. That is something that can never be verified completely by science. I have never seen any evidence that cannot be in favor of this viewpoint.
- Apparent age of the universe: this age is derived from scientists best guess and is an average of various views. Carbon dating is an uncertain method because we have never observed Carbon-14 after 60 years.
- Unbelievability of Creationism: the most often spouted argument against Creationism is "Do you actually believe that some God created the world?" shouted incredulously...not a very scientific argument
On the other side of the equation is the Evolutionist theory. While everyone is trained from birth to understand that evolution is a proven scientific fact, the opposite is true. In fact, evolution is based as much in science as creationism is. No one has ever created life in a lab. No one has ever found evidence of evolving creatures in the fossil records...no matter what teachers say: You would think that if we evolved over millions of years that I would be tripping over and blowing my tires on this evidence sticking up out of the ground. Instead, there's the occassional unearthing of a weird tooth or femur that is the "missing link".
I'm just not buying it. There have been huge books written by scientists in support of both Creation and Evolution. I have read some of them. Unfortunately, I have forgotten much of the detail of them, and that which I remember is too long for this forum.
I'm sure I haven't convinced you that Creationism is the way to go, but I hope I have helped you see that there are a few of us out there who actively look for a reason for what we believe...even if not all of us can put it on paper very well.

basically for two main reasons.
1. In a way it has not been proved. We have not seen anything really evolve. We have seen cross breeds but no evolution.
2. I believe that the Bible is true. Now if that holds in my belief system I am yet to reconcile evolution with Genesis.
It may not be the most scientific answer but I believe the most honest. Sorry I cannot be of more help!

Those who think evolution does not exist think a supernatural power control everything in the universe. They cannot accept that a system that is infinite with undefinable outcomes supports the theory of evolution. They think their god created the universe for human alone. They think other creatures are byproducts.
God is only a creation of human.

Depends on what you mean by Evolution ,to say we just came into being by circumstance is silly ,with such a magnificent design there would have to be a Magnificent designer , Man has evolved and become smarter ,Just in the Last 100 years man has moved more forward than at any other time , any one under the age of 18 probably has no idea that we didn't have cell phones 20 years ago like we do today are computers at are fingertips with a wealth of Information , Man seems to think he can do anything with out God and God even says so himself ,But One Day it will all come to an end and every body will get there day in Court /Peace

Those who reject evolution are closed-minded. An incredibly intelligent and powerful entity (most people call him God) created all the laws of science, and he used these laws (Newtonian Physics etc.) as tools to create the universe. One of his creations, genetics, in turn laid the path for evolution.
On the other side of the equation, those who believe that all the laws of science, from Astrophysics to Quantum Mechanics, just happened to exist by coincidence are also closed-minded. In fact, it borders on just plain stupid.
These are the same kind of people who will believe that if a tornado blew millions of times through a scrap yard, a fully functional 747 jumbo jet would eventually be formed.

Probably because it goes against the easier solution as to why we are here. Also people dont like to change their minds about things they were so sure of previously, even though it is obviously the more logical choice to any third party.
Some people dont want to think that we evolved from single celled organisms. But when you consider that the earth has gone through all the changes over hundreds of millions of years, its easier to see how if one species goes under a small change each generation, they can end up completely different after a long time.

Because Jesus told us that there are 7 Ages, and within the 7 Ages, there are 7 seasons, and within the 7 seasons are 7 little seasons, and within the 7 little season there are 7 a little while seasons.
Then Jesus told us that there was a Time, Times, and a Half Time.
Then Jesus told us that there are 20, 40, 40, 400, 4,000, 40,000, 400,000, and 4,000,000 and 40,000,000.
Jesus told us that there were 200300 days to the LORD's Day.
There were 100290 days to the Day of Constantine.
And there were 1003530 days to the Day of the Blessed.

I don't believe in evolution because it just doesn't make sense to me. Nobody has shown any proof and it seems to me it actually goes against what we know in the scientific world. We don't see things move from one thing to something totally different in nature, do we? If some one could prove it I would believe it but nobody has proven it to me. But I have had people in my life prove the Bible is true to me and so I believe it and the Bible teaches everything was created. To me it's in the proof.

RNA, DNA, replication, genome, mitochondria etc..., all that is so complicated and requires so much studying, it's really much more convenient to say that God did it, amen. If you insist, I can talk in tongues for a few minutes to convince you.

I believe that people change and evolve, but I don't believe that we were originated by some single celled organism that just happened to work out in just the right way to create life, and that from there, it began to form different species into the many different species that we have today.
