I just broke up with my boyrfiend yesterday and I didn't cry or anything. He cried and I felt so bad but I just couldn't go on pretending to be happy anymore. I kinda miss him but not enough to do anything about it. I'm only 17 and he always talked about marriage and children. I have to give him his phone back today but I don't want him to start crying again and make me feel worse about it. But am I mean for not showing any emotion?

If you were not happy in this relationship then staying just out of pity because he was hurt emotionally is not reason to take him back. Just give him time to get over this, and he will, do not start to play games with him by giving him false hope. This way he can move on and be ready for the girl that will be happy with him. You did him a favour, he just is not able to see it now. My best for your future happiness.

Seems you were enjoying casual relation with him but you must understand that the guy was very emotional and perhaps taking this relation very seriously.
But u r 17 so you are just not ready to accept any relations upto marriage,children such mature level.....U didn't cry does not mean u r mean but shows ur cool nature and may be ur higher Emotional strengths.

If I read this write you broke up with him...If that's right I think it sounds as though you came to terms with the situation a while ago. Remember that you have had chance to work through this through your head and his tears are probably a reaction to shock and not wanting to break up with you as he sounds as though he was quite taken with you if he was talking about marriage and kids at 17. If you feel nothing your head and your heart has told you what you want. You're not being mean, you're just being honest to yourself and sounds as though you werent in love with him and cared that deeply. Just respect that he was in a different place to you and recognise that he may cry again. The best thing is probably to give him space if you can to work it through.

We can't all feel sad at the same time...
But, it sounds like you are over him and he is attached to you. Don't worry, you're young and will both get over it if you can give each other time apart. Give him his phone, give him a hug for god's sake, and then leave him alone so he can heal. You're already over him, he needs just a smidgen of sympathy.
Don't overdo the sympathy and lead him on though, that would be worse!

You may experience it later. You were trying to send a single, specific message. If you had been crying as you delivered the message, what should he believe?
It would be like saying "I want you, I don't want you" in the same sentence. Better to be your real self than to continue the pretense.

look you'r still young and it seems u don't love him the real love maybe u will find one day someone u will love him and show him your emotions and take my advice don't worry about ur ex-boyfriend becoz he will pass over.

it may be denial. you may not realize what youve lost till later. but then again it could be that you just never cared for him. either way you will realize it soon enough.
