I love to cook for anyone who will enjoy food, but many people have said that it's a retarded job to cook. I happen to disagree, and i'm always looking for a new and exciting recipe! Know any?

Keep on cooking. I have a very dear male friend who is a chef. He does some catering for 20-100 or more people. He just got a job as head cook/chef for the governor of my state. (This is the second governor he has worked for) I sometimes help him cook for large events but sorry, I can never remember any of the recipes--but I do get to taste. lol

I applaud and congratulate you. Anyone who thinks cooking is retarded hasn't tried to make their own meal lately....and by meal I mean minus fast food, frozen foods and microwaveable foods. I'm sure the likes of Emeril, Mario Batali and Bobby Flay are laughing their 'retarded' heads off while looking at their million dollar plus bank balances. The 'retard' in this equation is the person who made the statement that cooking is a retarded job. I'd say that person just stepped up to the plate and screamed how ignorant and small minded they are. Keep up the cooking!

There is nothing wrong with a guy who loves to cook. Ever notice that most of the best world-renowned chefs are men? Besides if you're not in a relationship all you have to do is cook a meal for your girl and she'll be hooked for life. Women love a man who knows how to cook.

as an occupation cooking is generally looked down upon unless you are an executive chef. cooks are notoriously underpaid, always have been and always will be. because of this the industry is usually left wanting for a quality workforce. you realize there is a world of difference between a cook and a chef, right?

Some of the greatest chefs are men! These "people" who say it's retarded, are probably jealous of your interest and talent. Sorry I don't have anything new and exciting for you to cook. I'm kinda searching for something new myself.
