look, you've been letting him off the hook for long enough and your child is doing without (your doing all by yourself).
i find that sad (and sick) that he cant even buy or provide at christmas time. and your encouraging it by not pushing the issue. of course he's a deadbeat, but the courts can help. they have new laws (state and federal) today to protect your childs rights to child support.
you cant use the help in raising his child?
its time to file for child support. no more thinking.... just go do it. make sure you send him his copies (if stated in the instructions) so its valid and you dont have to do it again.
remember, every state is different (slightly) about these things, so look up the info for yourself. LEARN all you can about the subject, it helps your protect your childs rights, the more you learn.
even if he crys poor mouth with you, it wont wash with the courts. they MAKE them pay. even if he's out of work, they still keep going.
some of these links you need to click on your state and find the section you need (custody, child support, visitation, etc).
a couple are a child support calculator.

No, it is not fair to her but look at the bright side his lost! I have an 11 yr old son and his father hadn't seen him for over 10 yrs! My son have so many questions about his father and I try to answer them in a positive way never saying anything negative about his donor! I never bother him about paying child support or even asking him for anything for our son. I shower my son with much love and support us to the fullest! My son is turning out to be a very bright young man and later on in his life he can seek for his father and I will not stop him! And until that time let him think of what he will tell his son! I feel you should decide on how you will handle this! If you put him on child support who's to say he will pay it! You truly don't need him and she don't need him! Give her much love and always be there for her! Years down the line when she becomes a very productive and successful women so will have you to THANK! And whenever he comes around the question to him will be WHO ARE YOU! Never talk negative, keep everything positive and you + her will always see brighter days

Some guys needs to be made to be responsible. The least he can do for is daughter is pay the support to make sure she has all she needs... clothes, food, etc. Dont' worry about the smuck, let him pay what he should. It's not fair to her at all that her Dad doesn't help you support her. Go get the child support she deserves. Even if you just put the money into a college fund for her, it will help her in the future.

You can get him for child support. All you have to do is open a child support case. You can do this at your local family court house or your local county. You would have to establish paternity first in order to do this first. Remember do not force someone that does not want to be in your child's life. After all her will be the one missing the best in his child life. The court will make him pay. The father might want to file for visitation rights this would lower this child support payment a lot of men do this so that they will not have to pay more than what they have to. Good luck

Then go to your State's Child Support Enforcement Office, fill out the paperwork, be willing to identify him as a potential 'father' of the child, and let them do the work to help you establish not just the paternity of the child, but to set up Child Support for her as well.
It is a long process, and let me point out here that you are VERY LUCKY that you never married the jerk.

Hey Sweetie, bless your heart. I have a friend who does paternity testing for several states, so is up on the laws. Where I live, even if he gives up his rights as a parent he still has to pay child support. My advice is, find out if that is true in your state. Get this creep to give up his rights to any influence on your precious daughter. Then file for child support. You deserve it, but more importantly your little girl deserves it. This guy is obviously a LOSER, so you little one is blessed to have a good mom. Oh, and as a side note...GOOD JOB cutting him off sexually. Unfortunately alot of girls in your position don't have enough respect for themselves to do that! Pat yourself in the back! And good luck!

newborn help and custody are 2 different subject matters. both should be court docket ordered. because your father replaced into court docket ordered to pay newborn help on your mom, that's what he's doing. because you mom replaced into granted custody of you by yet another court docket order, you stay with her. in case you want to stay such as your father, and your mom isn't keen to allow you to attain this, he might want to favor to pass decrease back to court docket and petition that the unique ruling giving your mom custody be overturned. to make sure that that to achieve fulfillment, he might want to ought to instruct that residing such as your mom is a danger on your lifestyles and safe practices. So no, you putting forward you don't like your mom (as all little ones your age do in the precise) will no longer make a choose overrule an present custody order.

SIC HIM,GIRL! Make him be accountable and responsible for the precious baby he brought into this world. Your daughter didn't ask for the bum as a father but she got him. Take him to court to give up his parental rights and go to a child advocate or attirney to get what she deserves. Do it for her if not for yourself.

Ask for child support most definitely. But be prepared for him to ask for visitation with her also. See a good attorney and be advised what you can do to safeguard her since her father is so unconcerned.
