So far I'm doing good with my exercise but I'm not really getting any results. I think it's because of what I'm eating. I'm still having a hard time finding foods that I can eat and not still feel hungry. I'm thinking that I may need to go see a nutritionist or get a trainer or someone who can help me make a meal plan that fits me and not a bunch of people in general. I could use any websites too but I don't know any besides sparkpeople and I don't like their food plans.

Try LA Weight Loss. They have general meal plans but do tailor them to you. I found it to be the best diet so far and I have tried Weight Watchers (somewhat helpful) and South Beach (starving yourself is how I felt on this diet) and the food pyramid (though it was quite helpful).

You could see a nutritionist or you could read up on different problem areas.

You have to research or try different things to find what works best for you because everyone is different. It sounds like you understand that but nutritionists and trainers are expensive and should be kept as a last resort, unless you can afford it.

Your phone book, gym or hospital could point you in the right direction.
My husband and I have been on the Atkins plan (lean meats like chicken and fish, vegetables, whole grains, healthy fats, no sugars) and have had a lot of success. He lost 12 pounds in 6 weeks and feels more energetic, sleeps better, isn't starving all the time. I've modified the plan to suit both our needs (he needs more protein, I need more complex carbs).

Going to a nutritionist is a good idea. I myself am trying to lose weight, but like you I'm having a hard time finding foods that can satisfy me without consuming many calories. I plan to see one as soon as my schedule allows me. Good luck!

If you can afford it, then do it. You could also join a gym that gives you nutritional support as well like Jenny Craig, LA Weightloss, Weightwatchers, Curves, etc.

You could also buy recipe books if you like to cook and amend them as needed to fit your preference and personal goals.

Good Luck!
