I am not an Evangelical but, I find other religions interesting for the lies that are hidden in kernels of the truth.

fascinating... but I find Mormonism, Seventh Day Adventist and JW's very sad. Supposedly they believe in the bible, but they mix everything up.
If you are going to create a religion, might as well make one up from scratch.

They're not usually too curious about them unless they're trying to show how they contradict their interpretation of the Bible. My experience is that the resident "experts" get the facts wrong and the flock doesn't care because since they're nonCHristian they're evil anyway. The most hilarious moment for me was when one speaker firmly believed Nintendo was a Buddhist sect.

I study other religions because I am genuinely curious about why other people act, feel, and think the way that they do.
But the standard Christian response is that other religions are a man-made distraction from the one true God. So, in that sense, they are evil. The Christian God is a jealous god by his own self description.

some might be interested in other religions and look into them and then judge them as evil as they go against their set of beliefs

Those whom I have known have always arrogantly assumed theirs was the one true faith and that all others are of the Devil. I avoid such people as much as possible and am deliberately rude and repulsive when I am compelled to spend time with them...it discourages efforts on their part for future contact.
