I believe you should have faith now more than ever because of the world we live in. I was raised in a family that was religious but I strayed from it in many ways and I am trying very hard to come back to what I know is right and have faith in god because this world is rough without faith. Look what is going on around you where ever you are at. Children having children. A generation being raised without fathers. Wars being faught over greed and oil. We are not even helping our own people anymore. I guess I put too much opinion in this but I think that if you want to truly believe just look around you. If you dont want to end up like others if you want to be different that is what will make you want to have faith. even then you might mess up but you will know you are forgiven....for all time.

Faith rules our lives. When driving if you have the green light, you have faith that the car coming in the crossing road will stop at his red light, that is faith. When boarding a plane you have faith that it will take you to your destination and not somewhere else let alone crash. So, yes, we must develop faith in the Supreme Who is the only one Who will get us out of this mess.

Just trust God. Let me point you this way there is a verse in the new testament that says religion without faith is useless. You need faith because Christianity is the right religion and when you start to live it life gets harder as you get more smart. God bless.

Read Hebrews Chapter 11, the Faith Chapter. Pray that God will increase your Faith.
Hebrews 11
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

If you don't have faith you don't believe in something. Faith does not have to necessarily be blind and illogical but it must exist in some manner. If you do not have faith in what you believe, what do you have? You have nothing. Essentially you become a hypocrite or are fooling yourself.

The Word of Faith
Tuesday, February 13, 2007
Scripture:
“‘The Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart’—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:8-9 NASB
Even mature Christians can find themselves depending on their reputation, experience, skills, and resources. But Paul taught that, in the sight of God, none of this matters. We are not saved because of anything we do or justified because of our works. We must act in faith, confessing with our mouths “Jesus as Lord.” We must believe in our hearts that “God raised Him from the dead.”
When Paul talked about the “word” of faith, he used rhema, a Greek word meaning that God gives us His specific word for a particular time. Paul was saying that God has a word for us in the individual situations we face. This word is near us, and it’s a word God has tailored for our unique circumstances. It’s the exact Word we need for that moment.
There will be a time in each of our lives when we need to speak the word of faith and, for the first time, declare that Jesus is Lord. Then we need to continually make Him our Lord throughout our lives. There also will be many special moments when we will need wisdom or guidance, protection or understanding. God has a word of faith for us in each of these situations.
Today, the word of faith is near to you! It’s a word of deliverance and salvation, healing and power, wisdom and understanding. Declare that Jesus is your Lord. Trust God. Declare His Word to be true in your life, and let Him give you a special word of faith to speak and act upon.
Prayer:
Father, I have faith in You. I trust You for these needs in my life: ____________. Thank You for giving me the word I need right now. I declare that Jesus is Lord in every situation! In His Name. Amen.
***********************************************************************************
Last night, however, so many thoughts kept assaulting me... lack of storage space, no sights of a house (or a bigger living space) but even if there were no money to put down towards it, going over budgets one time too many, the inminent arrival of this new little one and no bassinet (sp?) to receive them, etc., etc., etc. Hebrews 11:1 kept coming to mind:
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
But I am beginning to realize that the faith I need is not for the material things that we are presently missing and that seem so hard to obtain. At this point, what I am hoping for and what I can´t see is the strength and the joy to stay exactly where I am at. If nothing that I am waiting for, hoping for, believing for came, would it undo me like it did last night or would I find the joy and faith to still honor the Lord? I came accross this:
"The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It's our handle on what we can't see." (Heb. 11:1, The Message)
Right now, I can´t see how I can go through this whole thing until God provides, be it ten years from now or tomorrow and I realize that I where my faith needs to kick in.
