I will sign, I have signed many petitions before to help pitbulls and I will gladly sign more.

I will sign a million times! Love the the pits!!!!! To Firecop & Jonmm: You can get hurt just as bad from ANY other type of dog! You can't judge the dog, just the owners of the dog...ANY dog!!! So ANYONE who has a pitbull is irresponsible?? Prove it !!! I bet those dogs are smarter than you are! I bet you guys don't even have a dog...you prob'ly wouldn't even know how to care for one PROPERLY!!!!!

i dont think pitbulls need to be put down. but studies need to be done to show why they are so aggressive. is the owners who buy pitbulls because of the "mean dog" publicity it gets and uses that reputation to scare away intruders. the point is, that you might not like people thinking bad about your pitbull but every tattooed guy i know who owns one says they bought it cause it was a "bad ***" dog. umm so which is it? is it bad or is the owner bad? sorry but either way there is a sad problem with owners getting the pit bull for the sole purpose of intimidation and then when that pit bull actually harms people they start claiming it's a "sweet" dog. umm NO you bought it cause you didnt want it to be sweet. anyway. i dont thin pitbulls should be put down. i think owners of pitbulls need to be seriously fined and sued!

Pitbulls should be put down!
Everyone knows they are dangerous and can kill people for no reason. This is a fact!
After the dog kills or attacks someone, you always hear the owner say "I can't believe this. My pitbull was so sweet and I don't know how he could have done this. Not mine!"
Anyone who owns a pitbull is irresponsible. I strongly support all local governments who restrict their ownership.

It sounds as if you are among the people who believe the bill regarding pit bulls means that they will be killed. You are incorrect.
Here is a complete answer from our resident attorney, John S:
SB861 allows local cities or counties to enact laws requiring mandatory spaying or neutering of specific breeds of dogs. That's it. It does not authorize killing anything. Period.

I will sign. Pit bulls are wonderful dogs. I have owned two in the past and they were the most loving dogs ever. It isnt bad dogs, just poor owners.
