I once dated a makeup artist.
At first I thought that he meant for actors and actresses for movies.
When he picked me up...he said that before we go eat he wanted to show me where he worked.
When we got there...it was a morgue. He put makeup on dead bodies. Then he took me in his office which was in the same room as the morgue and had a dinner table set up there.
That was the last time we went out.

We had gone on a couple casual dates already and on the third date he was picking me up at home. (Where I lived with my parents). He brought my Mother a Mikasa crystal table clock as a gift. She was shocked and happy. On the way to our dinner, I commented on his generosity and thoughtfulness. He then told me..."oh, that...eh, no big deal. I got it for free from the mall...if you know what I mean. I get stuff all the time." That was our last date.
