Alright so I'm learning how to do deadlifts... Should I feel in strain in my lower back muscles after I complete a set? I did about 155 just to see if I was getting the form right...

I'm sorry... I did 155 pounds... Not sets...

Doing 155 will give you strain everywhere. That is way too many to do. But, even when doing them correctly and doing a realistic amount of them you will feel some straing, but not so much that it should hurt. A deadlife works your lower back and hamstrings so that is where you should feel it. If you really did 155 than I'd hate to be you tomorrow morning!

you should feel just a little bit, especially if this is your first time doing deadlift, but you shouldn't be feeing much at all, if you are you should put on lifting belt, that should help. but if you are wearing a belt then you need to reevaluate your form
