When i was a lot younger i could keep my eyes open whils sneezing but now i cant. If i am driving i have found it better to relax rather than try to stop myself closing my eyes that way my eyes stay shut for less time.
I heard of a case where a guy crashed his car and said he was sneezing and his eyes closed but he judge said it was possible to keep your eyes open so got ruled against.

sure you can sneeze with your eyes open. I do it daily and haven't lost a eye yet. that is not true at all, the eye muscles will hold the eyes in there socket. I believe that saying is from a old wives tale.

Closing ur eyes while sneezing is an involuntary muscle reaction, like shivering when cold, so keeping them opem would involve u concentrating and doing so on purpose. Be warned though i tried it once as a teenager and it hurt quite a lot.

It is for me. When sneezing while driving, I have tried everything to keep my eyes open with no good results..

i does no longer attempt to, in severe college there grow to be a guy who apparently sneezed including his eyes open and he had the white area of his eyes blood pink for weeks! I nonetheless keep in suggestions how undesirable he regarded

Yeh and apparently if you squeeze your nose whilst you sneeze, your ear drums can explode1 I don't know how true that is though.

I don't think it is. I know lots of people who have tried. Someone told me that your eyes would pop out of the sockets. Which I find to be an extremely stupid answer.

Yes, the eyelid naturally closes otherwise you eyes would literally come out.
