Would I look more distinguished smoking a Cigar, or a Pipe ?

Pipes are more distinguished because their harder to be good at. You have to buy the right tobacco, choose a good pipe, pack the pipe well and keep the tobacco burning at just the right tempature so that it doesn't go out but also doesn't overheat. Pipe smoking takes concentration. Its wonderful to sit back and just relax while smoking a pipe because beyond a conversation or reading a book you can't do anything else very well.
Cigars are slightly eaiser. Beyond properly cutting and lighting it getting a decent quality cigar to stay lit is easy. It takes far less concentration.
In short if your want to look distinguished, go for a pipe. But you better know what your doing because pipe smoking is an art and its easy to tell a novice when they pack a bowl wrong and go through 20 matches before they give up . If you want to look manly, go for a cigar.
But a better question, why not have both? I have two pipes (one for me, one for a guest if there happens to be one) and several different kinds of pipe tobacco. I also have several different kinds of cigars for different occasions. Both taste great, both have their place in a fine tobacco smokers collection.

A pipe is more distinguished, but also old fashioned. I like both, but don't smoke often because it is bad for you. Pipe tobacco smells better than cigar smoke.

I vote for pipe. I think pipe smokers look like college professors, as long as you do not smoke a corn cob pipe, or course. To me cigar smokers either look like young wannabe-mobsters or New York taxi drivers.

neither really, but an older guy i work with smokes these great smelling cigars (vanilla i think), so i'd go with that

Neither, both are nasty and smell terrible. I think men look classier NOT smoking
