Sometimes you have a few partners as they tend not to be what you expect when you go out with them so you move on... Then some clever man has the cheek to call us tarts or sl*gs, or even worse.
When a man goes out there to 'lay' as many women as he can he is classed as some sort of stud and gets admiration rather than hurtful remarks. Why is this?? It smacks of double standards to me :o(

you know what sweetheart, men still think they dominate us women, and think we are beneath them (excuse the pun) but they forget that we mature, grow up and are more intelligent, so i think if the role was reversed then we would call them the slag, but we are far more mature than that, don't you say? x

I think there's a double standard still because many men have had multiple partners for generations, and that fact has always been more or less out in the open. Women, on the other hand, have probably done the same thing, but it's been very hush-hush until the last half century or so. I think societal expectations are still for women to be innocent and men to be promiscuous, and people who don't meet them are looked down on.

i will keep this short and sweet. I have a girlfriend and I am very happy with her and I couldnt care less.

Through my experience in this day and age there seem to be more single guys than there are girls, it is easy for a girl to get another guy than it is for a guy to get another girl. So when things go wrong in a relship its usually the girl who does one because it is easier for her to get anotha fella where as a guy they are more willing to make a relship work because they have more dificulty getting another girl and its not just down to looks or personality its just being in the right place at the right time for lads as girls its alot easier.

Thats just my oppinion anyway and if you dont like what I say I dont really care and I dont expect any follow up comments from this.

My advice to you is to ignore what anybody has to say about you because at the end of the day you gotta do what makes you happy!

It's the men who started it. Don't forget too that the men of the old times would mess around with loose women but only marry a virgin bringing the diseases that they caught right into their marriage bed and so many women and children died because of it. You ever heard the saying that it's a mans world?

Because a woman who takes control of sexual relations threatens male domination in society and in the home.

Refering to sexually dominate women as "tarts" is a way to regain male control over that woman. Labeling her as somehow deviant or repugnant reduces her societal influence and thus the threat she poses to male domination.

Before the days of DNA a man could do whatever he wanted and no one could really prove his responsibilty. It was different for a woman though. Nobody could even suggest that Diana wasn't Harry's mother. And that just about sums it up.

im sorry but their is no double standard. the reason is, it is very easy for a woman to have sex if she does not care who it is with. for instance if a woman put up a sign outside her house saying "free sex here" she would have a que running for miles to her door regardless of what she looks like.however if a man was to do the same he would be lucky if any one at all showed up.have you ever noticed how much men cant get a date let alone have sex.so for a man it is indeed a kind of skill. now i dont support making someone feel bad for what they choose to do in their lives but of course must peaple do.

theres a double standard in it. men can be all manly and sleep with a lot of women. Women have ot act like ladies and set example...which i agree with. I just think men should stop being such pigs.

Double standards are at it again. Men are insecure, so they have to make themselves feel better because women are the superior species.
