Go to the friend of the court, they should be able to get the money deducted from his check, if you have kept tabs on what you have received from him they will also be able to direct you on how to get back payments. I don't know how it is there, but in Michigan if a father is behind on child support he can be arrested and forced to pay up

If there is a court order in place that says how much he needs to pay a month in support then he must abide by that. If it is a benefit becuase he is disabled I would say contact the veterans agency in California, or from wherever his case might be.

I am thinking that if he is incorrectly using the money that is supposed to go for the care of his children than he will be held up in fraud.

If nothing else, contact a lawyer to discuss other options. Many provide a free analysis of your case.

And GOOD for you to leave that man- you and your children deserved way better. That was a hard move but better for you in the long run!

Call the Vetrans office. Also check with your lawyer, because if its a court ordered payment that he's not making, those checks can be garnished, and the payment sent directly to you from the court. Good luck.
