I always remember the spelling of the words like this.....you have to "lose" (pronounced looz) the "o" to say lose instead of loose. Get it? Lose the "o" in loose. Loose fitting clothes. Lose the clothes.

A few more people than know how to use "there" "their" and "they're", and many more people than know the difference between 'its' and " it's "
but since this is in the 'diet and fitness' category:
I don't need to lose any weight as my pants are already loose.

Using loose means that is it hanging or not tight. Lose it to lose something or to use it in a sentence, "This nut on this bolt is too loose, I will have to get a smaller size." "Don't lose my house keys."
