on one hand its pitifull. just suck it up and go.
on the other, stay one day home might keep it from escalating later. staying home means being in bed, taking medicine and not hanging out with your friends.
that will aslo keep everyone else at school from being sick.

If your not running a temperature, then go to school. Cloraseptic Spray is good for the sore throat. Extra Strength, Excedrin, Tylenol, or aspirin even will help with the headache. Sorry you're not feeling up to par. Hope you feel better soon.

Yes if you are feeling extremely low. It is physically draining. Stay at home and in bed and keep yourself warm. Sore throat is usually due to a viral infection. Gargling with warm salty water or mouthwash can reduce the pain and inconvenience. You can find some good home remedies at http://ailments.in/sorethroat.html

Every time my daughter came home sick from school, it was because she got it from all her germ ridden classmates.
If the sore throat is possibly strep, than by all means, yes, keep them home. Coughing and anything that can spread to the classmates is a reason to stay home, be checked by the doctor, and get their homework, so they don't fall behind.
Now that my daughter is a mother of 2, her biggest complaint are the parents who send their kids to school sick, and then hers come home ill.
If you can't keep them home due to work, or their grades being in jeopardy, then try to accentuate WASHING HANDS allot, when they are around friends who cough and appear ill.

Probably go, but if you feel bad during the school day, call your dad and tell him you are very sick, and that you just threw up or something. You should skip swimming, because than you'll get sicker.
